This is Coach Pat's 14th year, coaching the Barracudas.
Coach Pat is in her 5th year as an asst coach with MOR, Marlins of Raleigh, coaching the AgeGroup 4 level swimmers, Age 8-12yrs year round group at the Silverton pool location.
She also coaches the Swim League swim clinic held thru the year at the Silverton Pool, developing the stroke mechanics, starts, turns, finishes and race strategies for the beginner level swimmers, age 6-16yrs.
Coach Pat has been a USA Swimming, YMCA National coach, beginning in 1975. She has a love for developing any level swimmer from basic skill development to Nationally ranked Swimmers. She has taken teams to USA Swimming and YMCA Nationals many years, with her swimmers ranking nationally at the meets. She has been invited to Coach at several USA Swimming Elite Camps, and the Olympic Training Center Camp. Coaching swimming is her favorite past time. She loves speed whether it’s in driving rails, watching car racing, or watching Fast swimming!!
She has had the privilege of traveling with our team of USA Olympic swimmers to World Championships in Canada and Hungary and to Olympic Trials. Of course talking with as many coaches and swimmers as possible, to continue to build her knowledge base.
Coach Pat is also a Registered Nurse. She has worked Oncology, Labor and Delivery and School Nursing in NJ, before moving to NC in 2010.
This is Mr G's 14th season coaching the Barracudas. Mr G, giving new meaning to the danger zone and kicking fast!!! here in this picture. Mr G brings an ability to encourage and instruct at any level. Mr G coached beginner thru Nationally ranked swimmers since 1990. He was named Coach of the year for his time coaching High School swimming, bringing a team of mostly non year round swimmers, ex football and baseball players, to the State Championships, all thru his drills of stroke mechanics, racing strategies and training, to be one of the consistant Top Men's teams in NJ.

Coach Driska McCullough has a real love for developing our youngest Barracudas, in all 4 strokes and diving skills. This is Coach Driska's 8th year with the Barracudas. Coach Driska has many years of experience with beginner - Olympic Trials level swimmers. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the sport of swimming.
Coach Driska will be coaching 7-8yrs and 5-6yr olds.
Coach Molly is a sophomore at the College of Charleston. She has been an assistant coach with the Barracudas for the past five years, working with swimmers of different ages and helping them develop strong technique and confidence in the water.
She previously swam with the Marlins of Raleigh and was a member of the Leesville Road High School swim team. In addition, she spent two years coaching AG1 and swim league with the Marlins of Raleigh, where she focused on building fundamentals and creating a positive team environment.
Coach Faye is a senior at Appalachian State University studying Elementary Education. She has coached with the Barracudas for five years. She is passionate about helping young athletes grow in their skill and confidence.
Coach Gianna Cardinale is a sophomore in the Honors College at the College of Charleston. She began competitive swimming at the age of six and has trained with YOTA and MOR growing up. Gianna gained Senior Elite swimming experience with the Marlins of Raleigh. In addition to her athletic background, she brings three years of assistant swim coaching experience. Gianna is so excited to join the team and looks forward to helping swimmers grow their skills, confidence, and love for the sport she loves.
Coach Ben is entering his senior year at UNC Chapel Hill. He has been a coach with the Brier Creek Barracudas for the past five years, working with swimmers of various ages and helping support their development in the pool.
Coach Julia is going into her sophomore year of college swimming and studying biotechnology at Southern Connecticut State University. She grew up swimming on the Brier Creek Barracudas for 13 years and also spent time on both year round teams: Marlins of Raleigh and Wave, as well as the Leesville Road High School team. She has loved working with the younger swimmers to help develop their skills and find the same love for swimming.
Coach Elle began swimming in summer league under Coach Pat before moving into year-round competitive swim. Elle began coaching in 2025 and works with AG 1, AG 2, and Swim League at Silverton. She enjoys inspiring and motivating athletes to be the best they can be.
